At some point in life you focus on what is really important to you.

My name is Markus Philipp, and I'm the owner of ONTARIA. When my Canadian wife, Kim, and our two daughters, Alice and Jana, emigrated to Canada 20 years ago, I left my professional career in Germany behind and had to look for something new. The idea didn't take long to come along.

Canadians can only think about two things: ice hockey and the great outdoors. They're just constantly outside. Preferably in the middle of a deserted lake. In the wilderness. Ideally in a canoe, with a fish on the hook.

Products quickly join the lifestyle: Stickley furniture, cedar saunas, Muskoka, or Adirondack chairs. All things that weren't available here in Europe, back then... before Ontario. Now they're everywhere, but 20 years ago we were the first. At least the first to do it online.

I know all the manufacturers personally: for example, Dave Wright of the Bear Chair Company, David Martin of Dundalk Leisurecraft Saunas, and the Audi family at Stickley. We only import them because they're the best. Honestly!

Let's turn to you, our customers. You probably care about similar things as I do: quality and good design, sustainability, honesty and reliability.

I notice this because, despite our unconcerned delivery before payment, we haven't had any payment defaults. Okay, three. In almost 20 years.

We offer a 15-year warranty. We take responsibility for our products and our promise: we won't stop until you're satisfied! You can trust me.
